Over the last 4 weeks, progress has continued on our building works at a steady pace. Roof work is now largely complete on our Eastern Side. Services internally are being ‘roughed in’ and internal sheeting is beginning as well – which will continue for approximately a month. Windows will be installed on the Eastern side over the coming weeks, and we are expecting the external brickwork to begin over the next 3-4 weeks as well.

On the Western side, the balance of the Western Slab has been poured and cured. Frames are due to arrive late August for that stage of works to commence.

At the rear of the main kitchen, the slab for the extension has been pour and cured, and blockwork for the walls is about to begin. There will be a roof plant slab established over the new kitchen extension to allow for various plant equipment to be installed, both as part of this first stage of works and for future stages.

Looking ahead, work will begin on landscaping the two internal courtyards in the next three to four weeks. These works are due to be completed prior to being ‘built out’ because of the extensions. Once completed, these courtyards will become fully accessible to residents.

The overall build program has been heavily impacted by rain delays, and some supply delays. We continue to work with North Construction to find ways to help catch up on the program. It is now probable that build works may continue to some degree past the end of the calendar year, however we are certainly on track to have our new larger commercial kitchen operation by early December.

We continue to look forward to these works progressing, and ultimately delivering new spaces for our residents to enjoy and live in, here at BlueWave.

Yours sincerely,
