I am writing to provide another update for BlueWave in relation to COVID-19.With an updated advice and direction now provided by NSW Health this afternoon I am pleased to advise the following key change;Residents may now have any number of visitors each day, providing visitors are not from areas of increased testing as advised by NSW Health.Current list of areas can be found on the NSW Health website; www.health.nsw.gov.au and follow the links.
Also we must exclude any visitors who live in a household with a person who is currently self isolating, or has been to any areas listed in New Zealand, or are awaiting a COVID test result.
All visitors(and staff) must continue to wear a mask whilst in BlueWave Living and ensure social distancing is maintained at all times.Temperature checks and screening questions for all visitors will be required.
Please note our visiting hours remain the same and are 9am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday and public holidays. Exceptions to visits outside of visiting hours can be made in certain circumstances, such as for residents whom are palliating. This is arranged through our clinical management team.Regarding the vaccine distribution –we are yet to receive any formal advice around when this will begin and how it will be distributed to residents. We will of course provide information to all once we are advised. As always, thank you all for your on-going support and patience during these times.
Yours sincerely,
Matt Downie
